Carved for a Lifetime.
Some companionships last a lifetime. REFAQ began with one.
Nariman Sabry and Zeinab Abbas have been friends since kindergarten. They grew up side by side, and over the years their paths moved in different directions. Nariman became an architect specialised in marble and natural stone. Zeinab went into business and managed the Abbas Halim Group.
Then Zeinab had an idea: to bring their two worlds together. Nariman would bring her eye for stone and design, and Zeinab her experience in building and running a business. Together they would create something lasting.
That idea became REFAQ.
The Meaning Behind the Name
In Arabic, refaq means companions: people who stay with you through every season of life. The name tells our own story, a friendship that began in childhood and grew into a shared vision.
It is also our promise to you. Every REFAQ piece is made to be a companion in your home. It is not just placed in a room. It stays, through ordinary days, special moments and the years in between.
REFAQ creates high-end furniture and artistic objects in natural stone, presented like a gallery: one piece at a time.
Behind the gallery sits the proof: fabrication, supply and installation, for homes and for whole projects.

Nariman is an architect who specialises in marble and natural stone. She understands stone the way few people do: how it moves, how it ages and how it can become something beautiful. She leads REFAQ’s designs and products.
Zeinab Abbas
Founder
REFAQ began with Zeinab’s idea. With her experience managing the Abbas Halim Group, she shapes how REFAQ grows and makes sure every vision becomes real, from the first plan to the final piece.
Our Stone
Marble is shaped by the earth over millions of years. No two slabs are the same: every vein, colour and texture is unique. That is why every REFAQ piece is truly one of a kind.
